NEW YORK - March 9, 2004 - Financial Technologies International (FTI), the leading provider of Financial Enterprise Software (FES) to the global banking and securities industry, today announced that Franklin Templeton Investments (NYSE: BEN), an existing FTI customer and the fifth largest investment management company in the U.S., has selected FTI's StreetReference product. StreetReference is a customer solution used to develop a centralized repository of data, which will establish a complete, up-to-date picture of customer relationships and transactions across the firm by aggregating data from multiple systems.
StreetReference, along with the previously installed accounting engine StreetBooks, will form the foundation of a global information data store to support improved real-time customer record maintenance. This solution sits on StreetModel, the industry's leading financial data model, and the associated tools will provide the necessary control and flexibility for additional customization and data model extension to meet Franklin Templeton Investments' operational needs now and in the future.
"At Franklin Templeton Investments, we are committed to providing excellent customer service to our clients. The ability to maintain a real-time view of our operations is key to maintaining excellence as we expand and grow," explained Jennifer Bolt, chief information officer at Franklin Templeton Investments. "The FTI solution will enable us to respond more quickly to our customers and provide them with an increased level of service."
"One of the biggest IT challenges today continues to be the integration of data across an enterprise in order to better manage one's business and achieve a consolidated view of one's customers," said Mike Meriton, president and CEO of FTI. "FTI is proud to be selected by one of the world's leading and most respected mutual fund companies as a vital foundation for driving key strategic initiatives such as customer relationship management, risk management and operations consolidation."
