Prometeia to support ECB in assessing banking regulatory compliance in Europe

May 2022 – Prometeia has been included by the European Central Bank in the panel of the highly qualified consulting companies that will be involved in the assistance to On-Site Inspections (OSIs) and Internal Model Investigations (IMIs) of Significant Institutions under the direct supervision of the Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM).

Selected partners will deliver independent assessments and provide additional perspectives in specified areas that could be included in assessing the Banks’ risks and/or reviewing Banks’ compliance with the regulatory requirements.

Prometeia will contribute to assess the risks and compliance of ECB-supervised entities by adhering to a variety of inspection techniques, including (but not limited to) observation, information verification and analysis, targeted interviews, walk-through tests, sampling, and data analysis, and contribute to the assessment report with a set of defined deliverables.

The tasks will be performed in connection with the ECB carrying out of OSIs and IMIs, at the Banks’ premises (also outside Europe), at the ECB premises in Frankfurt am Main and/or remotely.
