Morningstar Announces Switzerland Leadership Appointments: Media Release

Morningstar, Inc. (NASDAQ: MORN), a leading provider of independent investment research, today announced that Stefano Petracca is now Chief Executive Officer for Morningstar Switzerland, and Frédéric Vallé is now Head of Business Development for Morningstar Switzerland. Both appointments are effective immediately. Petracca replaces Mark Roomans, who Morningstar named Chief Executive Officer for Morningstar UK in January 2015.

Petracca joined Morningstar in 2005 as Sales Director for the firm’s Swiss operations and has successfully developed Morningstar’s business in Switzerland and in the broader European market. In 2013, his role expanded to include responsibility for business development for Morningstar’s private banking client markets in Europe, and in 2014 he added responsibilities for Morningstar’s sales operations in Germany and Austria.

Vallé has more than 15 years of sales experience and joined Morningstar in 2010 as Sales Director for Morningstar Switzerland. He previously held several sales and business development positions at Thomson Reuters in France and Switzerland.

Earlier this year, we asked Mark to lead our UK business, and with Stefano’s appointment, Mark now focuses fully on his Morningstar UK responsibilities.”
