Software AG Appoints Jennifer Smith Chief Marketing Officer

Darmstadt, Germany - 12 October 2016

Software AG (Frankfurt TecDAX: SOW) today announced the appointment of Jennifer Smith as Chief Marketing Officer. Smith will report directly to Software AG’s Chief Customer Officer, Eric Duffaut, and will lead the company’s corporate, field, partner and digital marketing activities and strategies.

Eric Duffaut noted: “Jennifer brings extraordinary marketing leadership and demand generation experience to Software AG. She is well recognized for developing strategies that have accelerated growth and her industry knowledge will help us elevate the Software AG brand, stimulate increased demand for our Digital Business Platform, and drive revenue growth across our entire product portfolio.”

Before joining Software AG, Smith most recently served as Chief Marketing Officer at Globoforce and, prior to that, at Avid Technology where she re-established the market leadership position of both companies, including the growth of their platform adoption and the launch of their digital presence. Previously, Smith was Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Progress Software, where she led a rebranding initiative that significantly increased recognition and awareness for the company. She also worked for PeopleSoft and Microsoft in Europe.
