DatAnywhere 3.0 Raises Bar for Secure Private Cloud File Sharing, Increases Support for Third-Party Modules
Varonis Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:VRNS), a leading provider of software solutions that protect data from insider threats and cyberattacks, today announced the beta availability of DatAnywhere 3.0, its secure enterprise file sync and share solution.
Varonis DatAnywhere extends the usability of corporate file-sharing infrastructure by enabling traditional on-premises file servers and NAS devices to appear to end users like cloud-based file-sharing services. DatAnywhere is compatible with Windows, Mac OS X, iOS and Android devices. In the newly publishedForrester Wave™ for Enterprise File Sync And Share Platforms, Hybrid Solutions, Varonis DatAnywhere was identified as one of the ten most significant providers.
As part of the DatAnywhere 3.0 beta release, Varonis is enhancing its auditing capabilities. According to astudy conducted by the Ponemon Institute, only 22% of employees say their organization is able to tell them what happened to lost data, files or emails, indicating a fundamental gap in auditing file activity. DatAnywhere 3.0 has enhanced auditing to augment security, reporting and third-party integrations. DatAnywhere 3.0 also includes support for third-party MDM solutions like Airwatch.
David Gibson, Vice President of Strategy and Market Development at Varonis, said, “File shares continue to be among the most active and fastest-growing data stores in the enterprise. DatAnywhere securely extends these existing files shares – in about an hour – with enterprise content management functionality like version control, mobile access, file synchronization, and external sharing. If you have file shares, there’s simply no quicker way to provide end users with a cloud-style ECM experience where they don’t have to start from scratch – all their data is immediately there for them.”
