Baringa Partners is recognised as a Great Place to Work for the eighth year in a row

London - 21 May 2014

Baringa Partners, the specialist management consultancy in the energy and financial services sectors, has been named the sixth best place to work in the UK by The Great Place to Work® Institute.

Baringa has enjoyed repeated success with The Great Place to Work® Institute, and this year is the seventh in a row that it has been placed in the top ten. Baringa won the award outright three years in a row from 2010, after coming second in both 2008 and 2009.

“These awards always reflect well on Baringa Partners as a company, but really they serve to recognise the quality of our people,” remarked Mohamed Mansour, Managing Partner of Baringa Partners. “We pride ourselves on our diverse, talented staff, all of who contribute to our unique environment. Despite continued growth, we have worked hard to keep people at the heart of our business. We believe this approach has driven our success and has had a real effect on our recruitment. 37 per cent of our new employees this year have been referred to us by current staff, which demonstrates the open and supportive atmosphere we have created.”

Last year, Baringa, following extensive employee consultation, set out its 2020 vision for the company.  At the heart of this is a culture that encourages internal ownership and engagement, allowing employees to influence the core decisions on the company’s future.

Mansour continued: “At Baringa, we have always ensured that every member of staff has a voice: everyone can feed into the company’s future. Because of this, initiatives are proposed and launched from every sector and level of the business, rather than simply from behind the closed doors of upper management.  Our commitment to this positive and stimulating working environment is central to our consultants’ development, meaning that we’re able to recruit and retain the best workforce, which in turn benefits our clients.”

This year, Baringa Partners has internally promoted seven employees to partner, which demonstrates a continued commitment to fostering the development of its staff. In addition to this, the company’s net headcount has grown 27 per cent in the last year.

“We are honoured to be named among such well-recognised companies, and we look forward to learning from their practices in the future,” he concluded.

The Best Workplaces Programme involves more than 10 million employees over 5,500 companies and organisations, making it the largest programme of its kind in the world. The rankings are based on the opinions of both senior management and of the employees themselves, giving a complete and impartial view of a workplace’s culture, values and successes.
