Highest number of entries yet as Future of Money Design Award gains new sponsor

Alaric to sponsor established art award that forms part of Tomorrow's Transactions Forum

The Future of Money Design Award has a new sponsor for 2014 - Alaric. The global supplier of fraud prevention and payments products, which was recently acquired by NCR, takes over as sponsor as the award enters its fifth year. The award competition theme this year, which is ‘Identity is the New Money' has inspired the highest number of entries to date.

The topic matches one of the major themes at this year's Tomorrow's Transactions Forum, where the award prize will be presented. The Tomorrow's Transactions Forum, which takes place on 19-20 March at One America Square, London, is organised by Consult Hyperion.

Andy Brown, marketing director at Alaric said, "We are delighted to be sponsoring the design awards - especially on the theme of 'Identity is the New Money' which is so topical right now. The payments industry is moving towards a world where who you are is the key to enabling a transaction, rather than what token you carry. We are very excited to be part of the judging process and look forward to seeing all the innovative and creative entries."

"We feel that art helps us to understand the evolution of transaction technology and so it was important to us to have a sponsor that shares this vision. We're delighted to welcome Alaric on board as sponsors this year," said Dave Birch, global ambassador, Consult Hyperion.

The Tomorrow's Transactions Forum is in its 17th year and, as well as the presentation of the award prize, will also feature dedicated streams on mobile transactions, mobile money, new transaction technologies, mobile wallets and identity.
