2014 began with positive developments in turnover and number of trades.
Together the two market places Xontro and Equiduct achieved a turnover of 16.5 billion € in the first three months of 2014, an increase of 30 percent compared to the fourth quarter 2013 (12.7 billion €). The number of trades even rose by 50 percent to 2.4 million (Q4/2013: 1.6 million).
In broker-aided Xontro turnover added up to 2.7 billion €, a rise of almost four percent compared to the last quarter of 2013 (2.6 billion €). The number of trades increased by over 14 percent to 47,390 (Q4/2013: 41,558).
Trading activities on the Pan-European market Equiduct developed particularly well. After 12.7 billion € in Q4 2013, 16.5 billion Euro were traded in the first quarter of 2014, an increase of 30 percent. The number of trades rose by 50 percent, from 1.6 to 2.4 million. Retail investors saved 979,000 Euro by trading on Equiduct in the first quarter of 2014.
