SCBS selects Deutsche Bank equity execution, settlement and custody solution at Sibos 2013

18 September 2013

SCB Securities (SCBS), one of Thailand’s leading securities firms and a subsidiary of the 1,000-branch Siam Commercial Bank estate, has selected Deutsche Bank’s dbIntegrate solution at the Sibos 2013 trade show to meet its processing and cash management needs.

The Deutsche Bank dbIntegrate solution that SCBS is installing will provide end-to-end equity execution, settlement and custody services to the Thai trading and asset management firm.

Running on the bank’s Autobahn platform the dbIntegrate software automatically converts equity trades into settlement instructions, thereby allowing financial institutions (FIs), such as SCBS, to gain straight-through processing (STP) efficiency benefits.

Commenting on the contract win, Vikas Arora, head of Deutsche Bank’s global transaction banking unit in Thailand, said: “We’re pleased to be chosen. With the recent relaxation of regulations in Thailand for offshore investments there is a new demand for efficient cross-border transactions from local FIs, and dbIntegrate can address these needs.”
