YESpay introduces card data security technology

11 October 2013

YESpay is deploying its omni-channel point-to-point encrypted (PTPE) integrated payment service to a selection of UK high street retailers.

The firm recently became a member of the WorldPay Group, which has accredited the move.

According to YESpay, the solution achieves card data encryption for Ingenico IPP350 PIN entry devices and decrypts the critical card data at its payment gateway within hardware security modules.

Dr Chandra Patni, co-founder of YESpay and head of integrated terminal solutions and mobile payments at the WorldPay Group, said: "Our fixed and mobile PTPE secured integrated payment solutions are based on open standards rather than proprietary techniques."

He went on to say the company is effectively removing clear card data from retailers' networks, which is helping them significantly reduce the effort required in achieving Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard compliance.

The platform also integrates a cloud-based payment service, which uses secure sockets layer internet protocol communication.

Card data breaches have lead to severe financial losses for vendors and YESpay hopes its new solution will provide support to those looking to become more secure.
