Actuate and SaskTel Win CIO and IT Leadership Award in the Eighth Annual Ventana Research Business Technology Leadership Awards

SaskTel recognized for innovative use of location intelligence with BIRT Scorecard – part of the ActuateOne product suite

Actuate Corporation (NASDAQ: BIRT), The BIRT Company – delivering more insights to more people than all BI companies combined – today announced they and their customer SaskTel have won a “CIO and IT Leadership” award for Location Intelligence in the eighth annual Ventana Research Business Technology Leadership Awards.

The annual Ventana Research Leadership Awards recognize organizations and supporting technology vendors that have effectively achieved superior results through using people, processes, information and technology while applying best practices within specific business and technology categories. The awards distinguish pioneers and leaders – both organizations and individuals that exemplify clear visionary and transformative leadership. The award recipients have demonstrated an understanding that the successful management of their processes and performance requiring a heightened level of expertise, determination and a team effort.

SaskTel, a leading telecommunications provider, was recognized this year for its implementation of exception- and KPI-based performance management methods available in BIRT Scorecard™, part of ActuateOne® – Actuate’s BIRT-based suite of commercial products for development and deployment of custom business analytics applications. BIRT Scorecard includes features that enable SaskTel to manage their total organization at the individual location level, thereby simplifying and shortening the time to improved overall organizational performance.
