icubic AG releases 2012 annual report: Sales volumes reach new high

21 May 2013

icubic ended the past financial year with new record sales volumes. Germany’s leading software developer for electronic trading achieved revenues of 16.4 million Euros in 2012. This is almost 30 percent more than in the previous year (2011: 12.8 million Euros).

Despite higher capital expenditures, the technology company was able to achieve a slight increase in earnings: The annual result for 2012 was 1.748 million Euros compared to 1.674 million Euros in 2011. At the shareholders’ meeting in July, the Management and Supervisory Boards plan on proposing a dividend payout and a participation in profits for employees.

In addition to the pleasing growth in sales with the standard software suite, the consulting division also grew significantly. In the past year, icubic acquired HighQIT, the Frankfurt consulting company that specialises in the Calypso and Murex leading world market applications and supports internationally operating top companies from the insurance and banking sectors with internal software adaptation processes. Through this acquisition, icubic presently employs about 150 highly qualified personnel.

Last year, the company continued to invest a lot of energy in the strengthening of client relationships. “The consistent increase in our name recognition, the intensive dialogue with our customers and partners as well as the permanent investment in existing and new products has been rewarded by the market,” explains Dietmar Jakal, Chairman of the Board at icubic. In 2012 for example, the Norddeutsche Landesbank decided to implement an additional icubic high-tech application in order to make electronic trading of financial instruments even more efficient.

In 2013, the company plans to systematically pursue its diversification strategy. “The goal for the future is to accompany our core competency with even more complementary consulting services in order to satisfy the high demands of our clients as well as to protect ourselves from economic fluctuations,” says Dietmar Jakal. In the course of the expansion into new business segments and due to the growing client base, icubic is consistently searching for qualified personnel, including software developers and account managers.
