Microgen (LSE: MCGN) today announced that it has appointed Tom Crawford as Executive Vice President (EVP) and Divisional Managing Director (DMD) of the Microgen Aptitude Solutions Division (MASD) – to continue the development of the Division. Tom joined Microgen in 2003 and was most recently Senior Vice President of the MASD North American region based in Boston. Tom will now be responsible for the ongoing management and development of MASD on a global basis.
The change follows three years of Tom managing the North American operation, where considerable success has been achieved in both the financial services and digital media sectors. This success has been based on Microgen Aptitude, the company’s flagship business Enterprise Application Platform (EAP) and the Microgen Accounting Hub (MAH). Microgen developed MAH, using Microgen Aptitude, as a product that can be rapidly implemented to satisfy the growing requirements of financial organizations to facilitate accurate and consistent global accounting.
“Having set a strong foundation through new customer wins and project implementation success in North America, I am now delighted to be appointed to lead MASD on a global scale and maximize the opportunities afforded by our outstanding technology,” said EVP and DMD Tom Crawford. “With a strong established customer base, developing sales situations in both North America and EMEA we are now positioned to support our customers in their long-term success using Microgen’s world-class products.”
Microgen Aptitude is a graphical rules-based EAP platform that enables companies to rapidly develop business applications and solutions, capable of managing big data levels of transaction volumes. The Microgen Accounting Hub is based on the Microgen Aptitude architecture and provides financial organizations with the ability to manage and process vast volumes of data at high speeds, providing a clear and transparent view of risk and liquidity and enabling financial executives to make smarter strategic decisions.
“Continued development of our key markets for MASD of EMEA and North America is essential to the ongoing success of Microgen, and Tom’s experience of having led the expansion in North America will be invaluable in him taking up this leadership position,” noted Microgen Chief Executive Officer David Sherriff. “We are delighted to have Tom Crawford take up this exciting role and look forward to supporting him in further developing the Division.”
