New Solution Includes Integrated Policy Engine for Data Loss Protection
Consumer-grade file sharing tools are used throughout enterprises to share proprietary and personal information and to send large files using both company-provided and personal desktops and mobile devices. As the volume of files and email flowing in and out of the enterprise increases, so does the risk of sensitive data leaks, regulatory violations and unsolicited and potentially malicious intrusions. In response to the growing challenges associated with secure file sharing and mobile data access, Axway (NYSE Euronext: AXW.PA), the leader in governing the flow of data, announced today the newest release of DropZone and MailGate SC 5.3 to help organizations look for a simple yet comprehensive strategy for file and folder sharing, with integrated Data Loss Prevention (DLP),to control data as it moves in and out of the enterprise.
With the latest version of Axway DropZone and MailGate SC, users gain a universal policy engine which extends the embedded email policy engine and allows it to be used to control content in secure email and folder sharing environments. This includes any content upload via browser or APIs to the DropZone server. Enterprises now have a single platform to securely manage and protect email and file sharing by centrally enforcing corporate policy on these data flows with this powerful combination of policy management tools.
“Employees need to be armed with a tool which enables them to securely send and share sensitive business critical data without losing the collaborative functionality they desire,” said Mike Dayton, senior vice president, security solutions, Axway. “We are pleased to answer employees’ needs by providing a secure alternative to the uncontrolled, consumer-grade file sharing services and email tools that are cropping up in the workplace. Axway DropZone and MailGate SC 5.3 enable users to easily collaborate without the risks inherent in these services.”
