Creditron Turns the Business Case for Remittance Automation on its Head with New Browser-Based Solution

Creditron, a leading provider of payment processing and receivables management solutions, will be unveiling a cloud-based remittance processing solution on February 21st, 2013 that eliminates the barriers that low-volume operations have faced in cost-justifying traditional on-premise systems. The cloud solution complements Creditron’s on-premise ItemAge platform, the leading solution of its kind for billers such as utilities, insurers, government entities and non-profits.

By leveraging the cloud, Creditron’s Remittance Cloud Processing (RCP) virtually eliminates many of the costs of traditional on-premise solutions that have prevented low-volume operations from automating their remittance processing. RCP users pay just $1 upfront and a flat, all-inclusive monthly fee starting at $395, including a Canon CR Series scanner. The cloud solution does not require any per-item charges or annual license fees. A no-risk 30-day trial program also is available.

RCP extends the business case for automating remittance processing with advanced capabilities traditionally associated with on-premise solutions. The turnkey RCP solution includes: optical character recognition, courtesy and legal amount recognition, co-mingled processing of all transaction types, MICR data lookup for exceptions processing, electronic deposits via Check 21 to any financial institution, and extracts for any customer information system or billing system.

Optimizing its browser-based design, RCP also allows authorized users to securely key or research payment images and remittance data from anywhere, at any time via an Internet browser. All images and data are encrypted and securely stored in the Creditron Cloud, eliminating the need for backups. RCP’s cloud architecture also ensures that billers always are using the latest version of the software. RCP users never have to update the software or pay annual software license fees.
