Automates scanning of checks and cash in a single device
Creditron, Inc., a leading provider of image-enabled solutions that automate the payments cycle, today announced that it has certified the JetScan iFX i100 Check and Currency scanner from Cummins-Allison., for use with its emerging thin-client Niagara remittance processing platform. The JetScan iFX i100 is the fastest, most accurate check and currency scanner imaging 400 documents per minute, letting you prepare, audit and electronically deposit directly to your financial institution in minutes.
"The JetScan scanner extends the capabilities of Niagara by allowing the scanning of both cash and check to be scanned using a single high speed device directly into a web-enabled application," commented Wally Vogel, founder and CEO of Creditron. "This functionality is becoming increasingly important as billers look for new ways to reduce costs and eliminate 'information float while taking mixed payment sources both over the counter and in the back office mail room.'"
The JetScan iFX i100 was specifically designed to consolidate check processing and cash functions, eliminating steps in deposit processing, cutting costs and improving access to funds. Other features of the scanner include mixed bill processing that allows a count and denominate of up to 1,600 mixed bills per minute; serial number capture with no need for pre-sorting or facing; counterfeit bill detection; and future-ready design that allows for easy upgrades as new features become available. The iFX i100 also eliminates the expense of having separate scanners for checks and cash counters.
By employing one document entry point into their Niagara solution, Creditron users can quickly scan deposits, perform IQA on all checks and prepare the Check 21 deposit quickly to their financial institution. For cash deposits, the iFX scanner can detect counterfeits, prepare the cash for deposit. With the added solution of Huntington National Bank’s SafeCash Manager, customers can drop the physical cash in to a safe on their premise, while offering optimum access to their funds from a centralized standpoint.
