La Caixa is launching a range of online tools that are intended to make it easier for customers of the Spanish savings bank to communicate better with its asset managers.
The initiative is part of La Caxia’s effort to increase its customer numbers and funds under management by a fifth by 2015. It hopes to achieve this by offering more bespoke technology offerings that use social media, video and other communication channels to enhance service at a low cost. Asset managers can now be contacted via these channels. There will also be a comprehensive remote product and online service, offering trading options and suitability tests under the EU’s markets in financial instruments directive (MiFID) rules.
Private banking customers and retail bank clients will be able to access the new tools via the bank’s upgraded online platform, enabling them to sign forms, configure data preferences, use financial planning services and see investment tracking reports and analysis. An educational programme is also available for customers, with financial content and interactive games designed to help planning and investing.
