The Sales Tax Office sales and use tax calculation system also offers certified integration to the SAP SD module. The solution seamlessly integrates with a company’s existing SAP systems to process all vendor invoices and accounts payable transactions. It combines industry-leading tax rate and taxability content with the latest jurisdiction boundary information and sophisticated logic capable of supporting the most complex sourcing and tax calculation rules. For NPC, the Sales Tax Office solution performs a variety of sales and use tax functions, including:
- Automated calculations of consumer use taxes – leveraging CCH exclusive research content covering use tax exemptions for restaurant equipment purchases;
- Instant application of the latest state and local jurisdiction tax rates and taxability rules – leveraging CCH’s exclusive restaurant tax data associated with food, non-alcoholic beverages, beer, wine and mixed drinks;
- Instant application and validation of the latest state and local jurisdiction tax rates – accurately calculating all point of service (POS) sales with daily data uploads; and
- Detailed comprehensive tax liability reports to streamline month-end compliance process.
CorpSystem also offers Sales Tax Office integrations for Oracle® E-Business Suite as well as Microsoft Dynamics® AX, GP and NAV systems.

Additionally, NPC also benefits from CCH’s CorpSystem® Sales Tax Rates and Taxability Database for Restaurants – the tax and accounting industry’s only continuously updated restaurant sales tax rates and rules database covering food and beverage products for dine-in, take out and deliveries in more than 10,000 tax jurisdictions.
By combining CCH software, database and other tax calculation tools and resources, NPC now has the ability to create daily sales tax summary reports by restaurant and tax category (hot prepared foods, beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages, etc.) that will be utilized to validate taxes calculated at their restaurant POS registers.
CCH solutions also provide NPC the ability to streamline its customer exemption certificate management process, enabling NPC to track customer exemption certificates and validate that all exempt sales processed during the month are supported by valid customer exemption certificates prior to filing the applicable returns. The Customer Exemption Certificate module of Sales Tax Office will also be leveraged by NPC’s tax department to generate monthly reports of expiring certificates to ensure their records are up-to-date when state auditors visit.
