STERCI GTExchange Optimized for Speed and Reliability on Oracle Exadata Database Machine and Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud

Geneva - 24 October 2012

Sterci today announced it has earned Oracle Exadata and Oracle Exalogic Optimized status through Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN), demonstrating that Sterci’s GTExchange version 11 has been tested and tuned on Oracle Exadata Database Machine and Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud to deliver speed, scalability and reliability to customers. Sterci wanted to achieve Oracle Exadata and Oracle Exalogic Optimized status to demonstrate the capacity of Sterci’s messaging application GTExchange to support ultra-high levels of throughput in a highly available environment with data storage and transactional message management by leveraging Oracle’s Engineered Systems. Sterci is a Gold level member of Oracle Partner Network.

Today’s competitive market has resulted in significant mergers and acquisitions among key players. Such trends can result in only one thing – increased volumes. As volumes increase, so does an organisation’s responsibility to seamlessly cater for same. Furthermore, the introduction of Payments Factories and messaging hub along with SEPA’s directive concerning mass payments requirements only accentuates the need to be mass volume ready. By achieving Oracle Exadata Optimized and Oracle Exalogic Optimized status, Sterci has shown that its GTExchange solution has achieved a 3.8 x greater throughput (nearly 4 million messages an hour), than any previous tests on comparable x86 systems.1

GTExchange from Sterci is a high-performance multi-network and multi-standard financial messaging solution that provides a comprehensive connection hub to SWIFT and other networks, as well as handling internal message transfer. It supports high volume and complex message flows from multiple counterparties, delivering control, transparency and proven efficiencies.

Etienne Savatier, Director International Sales & Partnerships comments, “GTExchange running on Oracle Exadata Database Machine and Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud enables us to support large message throughput of Tier 1 banks that need to replace their legacy applications by a future proof messaging infrastructure. Working with Oracle provides us with the appropriate technology for developing a powerful messaging hub that can help meet our customer’s business demands.”

“Oracle Exastack Optimized recognizes partners who have optimized their solutions on a complete, integrated and cloud-ready infrastructure in order to help them accelerate innovation, unlock new features and functionality, and deliver superior value to users,” said Chris Baker, Senior Vice President, Worldwide ISV and OEM Sales, Oracle. “By achieving Oracle Exadata Optimized and Oracle Exalogic Optimized status, Sterci has demonstrated its GTExchange version 11 is tested and tuned to work with Oracle Exadata Database Machine and Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud to help deliver optimum performance, scalability, and reliability to their customers.”
