UK-based developer of energy trading software, Contigo, continues to receive national recognition as the firm is named as finalists in 3 separate awards for their innovative suite of products. Contigo’s enTrader Product Suite was designed to address deficiencies in the established Energy Trading and Portfolio Risk Management (ETRM) solutions used within the energy industry by operations such as generators, retailers, brokers and financial institutions.
The company’s products have become a vital component in the smooth running of the UK’s energy industry and from humble beginnings they have achieved incredible growth. Contigo’s products are now used to manage the trading of over £1billion worth of fuel and energy products per annum. With this Contigo continues to be a true British success story.
In quick succession the firm has been named as finalists in the Orange National Business Awards, the UKIT Industry Awards and the 2012 Commodity Business Awards. The firms recognition as a leader in innovation has come from both competition judges and their own customers as they were externally nominated for the CTRM (Commodity Trading & Risk Management) software category in the Commodity Business Awards.
The Midlands based innovator will compete against companies from around the country with the winners to be announced during the respective gala dinners scheduled for later in the year.
Uniquely, enTrader is designed to manage multiple trades, for multiple energy commodities, within multiple markets within a “single vendor” solution. The company also utilities an aggressive pricing policy, to ensure their sophisticated capabilities are available to all market players, from new market entrants to the large asset heavy energy generators. Contigo is focussed on a strong ambition to “level the playing field”.
David Clarke MBE, Chief Executive Officer of the Chartered Institute for IT commented on the UKIT awards. “Congratulations to the finalists; they can be proud of their achievements in reaching this stage of our prestigious Awards.
