Systar Supports the Innovation Strategy of Generali’s IT Production from Hypervision up to Proactive Monitoring of the Insurer’s Business

ST. CLOUD, France and Vienna, VA, October 18, 2012 - Systar (ISIN: FR0000052854-SAR), a leading provider of Operational Intelligence software, today announced that Generali, one of Europe’s largest insurance providers and the biggest European life insurer, has implemented Systar’s WideVision Alert and WideVision Service Health Check.

Generali chose WideVision to gain a comprehensive and homogeneous analysis of business impact from events generated by applications and infrastructure components. "Given the huge quantity of alerts reported by our monitoring tools, it became essential to implement management by exception through a focal point of supervision," said Daniel Jondet, director of support and infrastructure at Generali.

WideVision Alert captures the alerts coming from all the technical components, normalizes, enriches and prioritizes them to provide a global view on a single screen that enables users to process these events according to their business impact. "This type of hypervision allows us not only to shrink the time to resolve incidents, but also to adopt business-oriented processing of technical problems for maximum benefit to our users," said Daniel Jondet.

WideVision Service Health Check provides Generali’s IT production management with consolidated dashboards on the health of over one hundred IT and business services, in real time and according to several dimensions. "We can identify impacted services at a glance and call our customers in a proactive manner,” added Daniel Jondet.

Generali wants to go further and extend the supervision scope provided by Systar to control business processes. "The role of IT production is changing. I want to make Business Activity Monitoring the cornerstone on which we build our strategy to share a unique vision of performance with all IT and business stakeholders," concluded Daniel Jondet.

“We are very pleased to count an IT production as innovative and forward-looking as Generali’s among our customers,” said Guy Kuster, Systar CEO. “Their approach demonstrates that real-time business-oriented monitoring is the key to achieving operational excellence in today’s increasingly complex IT environments.”
