Distra Appoints Strategic Sales Executive to Service Growing US Client Base

Distra, a software provider transforming payments globally, has appointed payments visionary George Dishman into the role of Strategic Sales Executive North America. Distra enables rapid innovation for real-time payments, from point-of-sale, Internet and ATM transactions, and increasingly mobile and social media channels. With its Universal Payments Platform (UPP), Distra empowers issuers, acquirers, schemes and merchants to easily and cost-effectively transform their legacy payments systems to offer new value-add services and capture information to enrich the payment transaction, from data to support targeted coupons, offers, loyalty programs and electronic receipts, to industry-specific data such as medical claim and airline ticketing information.

Dishman brings to Distra and its clients a wealth of payments experience and leadership, with a sales and management career successfully servicing the financial services industry for more than two decades. Prior to joining Distra Dishman spent four years as Director North American Financial Institution Sales for S1 Corporation, following a five-year tenure as Vice President and General Manager Western Region for ACI Worldwide. This latest appointment by Distra of another experienced payments executive is a reflection of the company’s dedication and commitment to servicing the needs of its growing North American client base.

In just over 12 months Distra has made its mark on the North American market, empowering several large clients to transform their payments infrastructure, including a large payments processor and merchant acquirer, and a prominent provider of stored value gift and prepaid products.
