Recent Enhancements Recognised By Systems in the City Awards, 2012
Interactive Data Corporation, a leading provider of financial market data, analytics and related solutions, today announced that it received, for the third time, the ‘Best Corporate Actions and Reference Data Provider’ award at the Systems in the City Awards, which took place on 14 June, 2012 in London.
Interactive Data won in the category of 'Best Corporate Actions and Reference Data Provider‘. The Awards are designed to reward the leading service and system suppliers to the regulated financial community. Over the last year, Interactive Data has made enhancements to its services that provide high-quality reference data on over 10 million financial instruments. Clients use the data to help improve risk management, manage client communications of time sensitive events, support investment strategies, maintain compliance with regulatory mandates and maximise overall operational efficiency across the enterprise.
Enhancements include intraday delivery of corporate actions data via a range of protocols including ISO15022 and XML, available to users in customisable time frames, alongside additional coverage of event types, identifier changes and shares outstanding. The year also saw the introduction of a new Web Services application programming interface (API) that can help financial institutions to obtain on-demand access to global corporate actions, enabling firms to streamline their consumption and integration of this data.
Brendan Beith, managing director, pricing and reference data, EMEA at Interactive Data, commented: "We are pleased that our corporate actions and reference data has been recognised by the Systems in the City Awards as best in category for the third time. Under our new ownership we are investing significantly in new product development, including reference data. Interactive Data’s XML-based corporate actions solution has been available to clients for more than three years and since then, Interactive Data has continued to expand its content sets and is developing a new suite of services to provide clients with managed services for reference data. We were also pleased to release our new Asian intra-day corporate actions service last year. ”
