Infor10 Demand Planning to Help Improve Order Fill and Stock Availability

Infor, a leading provider of business application software serving more than 70,000 customers, today announced that office supplies distributor Spicers will deploy Infor10 Demand Planning to improve forecast accuracy, enhance the alignment of stock with demand and increase order fill rates, boosting customer service.

Spicers has over 16,000 stock keeping units (SKUs) and 15 people with supply chain planning roles across multiple distribution centres. Demand Planning will be used throughout this estate to cover demand forecasting and replenishment requirements.

Demand Planning will help manage changes in patterns such as increased customer demand as a result of promotional activities and improve the alignment of demand to the orders from Spicers to its supplier partners. This will in turn improve the service delivered to Spicers’ customers.

Demand Planning replaces a legacy system that had reached end of life and was chosen on the strength of its distribution centric functionality and Infor’s deep domain expertise in the market.
