Yearly, Gartner evaluates vendors in the International Retail Core Banking Magic Quadrant in terms of their ability to execute, and the completeness of their vision. Callataÿ & Wouters entered the Magic Quadrant as a âChallengerâ in 2008, and moved to âLeaderâ in 2009. 2011 marks the third year in a row that the company is recognized as âLeaderâ.
Key to the successful evaluation of Callataÿ & Wouters was its flagship product, Thaler. Other factors that contributed to Callataÿ & Woutersâ position as âLeaderâ are its driven membership of organisations such as BIAN and its consistent track record of product and implementation quality.
âWe are very pleased with the third time we receive this important recognition,â comments Marc De Groote, CEO of Callataÿ & Wouters, âIt shows that we are pursuing the right strategies and that we are highly consistent in the execution of these strategies. Gartnerâs independent recognition of our work is an inspiration for us to keep excelling at what we do best.â
Thaler is core banking software that comprises over 300 modules and more than 10,000 services. It offers broad compatibility with third-party solutions â also known as âservice-oriented architectureâ â and runs on major platforms such as IBM z/OS and SAP NetWeaver. Thaler is a scalable solution that includes functionality for deposits, loans, securities, treasury and payments as well as multi-channel distribution modules. It is designed to run either as an end-to-end solution, covering the entire range of core banking activities, or on a modular basis to support individual lines of business.
