edge IPK, the provider of edgeConnect, the insurance industryâs User Experience Platform (UXP) designed to provide the optimal user experience to any insurance user, through any device, browser, and language, today announced that is has been identified as a vendor to watch by Forrester Research Inc. in a new report published in October 2011.
In the report, â"Emerging Technology Vendors That Insurance Enterprise Architects Should Watch In 2012", Forrester senior analyst and author of the report Ellen Carney commented, âInsurance business leadership depends on enterprise architecture teams scanning the landscape for more efficient and effective ways to deliver what the business does...â
The report indicated those vendors recognized in the report are emerging technology solutions that are relevant to enterprise architectures in the property and casualty, life and annuity, and health insurance markets. These vendorsâ technology offerings are helping insurance IT deal with a variety of business pressures.
Describing the importance of the edge IPK offering, the report stated, âThe problems of application silos continue to plague the insurance industry. Call center reps and desk adjusters spend hours jockeying between applications and screens. [Unlike edge IPKâs edgeConnect], agentsâ portals often donât provide access to business functions that agents need to answer their customersâ questions.â
âWe are pleased to be recognized by Forrester as a company to watch in the insurance technology market. We feel this further validates the importance of our edgeConnect User Experience Platform and what we offer insurers as they strive to deliver easy to use business functionality based on each userâs individual preference,â commented Wendy Aarons-Corman, edge IPKâs North American President.
Aarons-Corman added, âWe appreciate when industry analysts, like Forrester focus research on whatâs new in insurance technology and encourage the industry to take a closer look. Insurers recognize the value of a high quality and highly personalized experience for all users â whether internal to the organization or external to existing and new distribution channels. As a result, we have had great traction in the European insurance market and are experiencing a rapidly growing interest in North America. Insurers are recognizing the need for a new approach to delivering functionality to the Web and the wide-range of devices now in use. User Experience Platforms are an attractive alternative to custom code and one-off vendor applications.â
