CTO Daniel E. Retzer Achieves SuperNova Status

XSP, the global leader in automated end-to-end Corporate Actions solutions, announced that Daniel E. Retzer, Managing Director and Chief Technology Officer, has attained the Constellation SuperNova Award in Cloud Computing. The Constellation Supernova Award recognizes technology early adopters whom have successfully applied emerging and disruptive technologies within their organizations. These individuals and teams were subjected to a rigorous judging process before being selected from a pool of seventy applicants. The award winners were announced at Constellation’s Connected Enterprise Gala Dinner in Scottsdale, Arizona.

“We are impressed by the level of passion and commitment by the award winners for not only applying disruptive technologies but also sharing in how they’ve created a climate for innovation and success,” stated R “Ray” Wang, Principal Analyst & CEO, Constellation Research, Inc.

“The SuperNova Award is further validation of Dan’s technical vision and strong leadership that transformed his IT organization into a fundamental business enabler of XSP’s SaaS offering to their Corporate Actions clients,” said Adam Wray, President and Chief Executive Officer of Tier 3. “We are thrilled to have partnered with Dan on this cutting-edge Cloud implementation and are grateful for his continued leadership as both our customer and a proud partner. Congratulations from all of us at Tier 3.”

Retzer said “I am truly honored to achieve the 2011 SuperNova status. Winning this inaugural award from the dynamic and forward-looking Constellation Research Group further validates the spirit of creativity and innovation we here at XSP embrace. Being recognized for excellence and passion in applying disruptive technologies – especially the Cloud – to our product and day-to-day operations clearly highlights what we have been working toward for over 15 years. From our XSP® v5 Platform, with its core architecture designed around Cloud-based technologies, to our XSP GO!™ Mobile and eTRAN®+ products, XSP is not only talking and thinking about the Cloud – XSP is leading the way to the Cloud with its products and services. Tier 3, our partner in the Cloud, has been a tremendous asset in helping us map out our Cloud strategies by lending us their extensive expertise in the enterprise Cloud hosting space.”

Retzer and his team received a SuperNova for orchestrating a full server migration to Tier 3 Enterprise Cloud Platform. As a financial services software provider, the move to the Cloud eliminated outages, improved service level agreements, and converted expense resources into revenue-generating resources.

Constellation SuperNova awards are unique in that they celebrate early adopters and teams who battle the odds to deploy new technologies that affect change within their organizations. A combination of the judges and the public recognized these SuperNova award winners as true leaders that embody the SuperNova award spirit: exploration, innovation, and heroism to successfully put new technologies to work. Most importantly, these leaders have created disruptions in their market.

SuperNovas (Finalists) in each category will win a one -year subscription to Constellation’s Research Library and complimentary tickets to the Connected Enterprise 2012 event, an estimated value of $120,000 per winner.
