Financial Tracking Technologies, LLC announced today the release of two new compliance modules, CampaignChecks and CampaignChecks Premier. Both facilitate the entire employee contribution disclosure, monitoring and verification process for political contributions and fulfill SEC rule 206(4)-5, adopted June 30, 2010, and MSRB rules. Employees can report political contributions, solicitations, answer questions via an online form and certify as to accuracy and full disclosure of their participation in the political process. The software checks against the firm's government client and prospect lists. CampaignChecks Premier includes automatic checks against databases that include employee residence and voter registration jurisdictions, elected official and candidate jurisdictions and political contributions at the local, city, state, and national levels. Premier verifies via a rules engine that employees have not violated federal or state firm and regulatory contribution guidelines by illegally influencing contract awards for investment services, a practice commonly referred to as "pay to play".
"These new services relieve compliance and risk groups of the arduous and daunting tasks of gathering and analyzing employee political contributions and take away the worry that their firm is out of compliance. The risks of losing revenue from government clients because a political contribution or payment was overlooked are just too great. With database connections to to all relevant information,
CampaignChecks enables our clients to be the First to Know if they have a problem," said, Tony Turner, principal of Financial Tracking Technologies, LLC.
