Vectren Successfully Completes Implementation of FARRMS EmissionsTracker for Emissions Allowance Management.

Denver, CO, USA - 9 July 2010

Pioneer Solutions LLC is pleased to announce that Vectren Energy Delivery (Vectren) has successfully completed the implementation of the FARRMS EmissionsTracker software solution. EmissionsTracker is being used by Vectren to manage emissions allowance inventories and compliance for its electric subsidiary.

EmissionsTracker provides a comprehensive solution that automates end-to-end emissions tracking and management processes and is designed to support enterprisewide inventory tracking, trading and compliance. The solution supports comprehensive environmental products including emissions reduction credits, CO2 offsets, CO2 credits, SO2, NOx, RECs, and Kyoto Protocol defined products such as CER, ERU and VER.

The system can also track all greenhouse gases and pollutants should an organization choose to. Powered by FARRMS (Financial and Regulatory Risk Management System), EmissionsTracker provides a leading edge integrated platform for mitigating financial
and regulatory risks.

Indiana-based Vectren supplies electricity and/or natural gas to more than 1 million customers in Indiana and west central Ohio. Vectren has a diverse energy portfolio that includes coal- and gas-fired units, as well as renewable resources. The utility will use
EmissionsTracker to manage the allocation, purchase, sale and compliance of SO2 and NOx emissions allowances, as well as keep track of actual emissions reported to the EPA.

“The rapidly evolving regulatory environment requires organizations to be very attentive to compliance issues while also maintaining flexibility for future change,” said Angila Retherford, Vectren’s director of environmental affairs. “We are pleased this software
package provides us with a tool which can streamline our current compliance activities and poise us for future adaptations as necessary.”
