ClusterSeven Named Sponsor for JumpStartNYC Project

New York, NY - 21 May 2009

ClusterSeven (London and New York), an international provider of spreadsheet management solutions that enhance risk management, compliance and business efficiency for financial institutions and Fortune 500 financial reporting divisions, announces it has been selected to sponsor Mayor Bloomberg’s innovation, JumpStartNYC. The goal is to assist financial services professionals who lost their jobs in the financial downturn by working with entrepreneurial firms located in New York City to expand and retool their skills in new sectors.

Initiated by the New York City Economic Development Corporation, JumpStartNYC hosts a 10-week action learning project consisting of courses, events and seminars developed by the Levin Institute, a graduate institute of international relations and commerce within the State University of New York, to encourage participants to develop active networks and help further their careers. Sponsoring companies such as ClusterSeven get the use of these highly skilled assets to perform project work.

“ClusterSeven’s involvement in such a prestigious program exemplifies our commitment to bolstering our local community and providing talented people with new career opportunities,” said Ralph Baxter, CEO of ClusterSeven. “Our goal is to build upon the participants’ talent and turn this project into potential full- or part-time jobs while encouraging growth in New York’s start-up economy.”

“New York City’s best asset is its people, and the Bloomberg administration started JumpStartNYC to make sure we harness our best assets by retraining workers to join startups and smaller companies. We believe this investment in our City’s talented workforce will help lay the groundwork for the next generation of companies to grow. We applaud ClusterSeven for joining our efforts to support entrepreneurship and ensure that the City’s economy remains strong for future generations,” said NYCEDC President, Seth W. Pinsky.

Selected for its natural fit with financial professionals, ClusterSeven will contribute time, money and resources to support this program. As the company continues to grow, it is looking for practical ways to contribute to the rejuvenation of the economy and the stabilization of the financial community. ClusterSeven, with its spreadsheet management software, advocates that transparency and accountability should be cornerstone principles in order to rebuild consumer confidence in all aspects of the financial services industry.
