LakeFront Releases Data Management Capabilities Maturity Model Whitepaper

19 January 2009

LakeFrontData, a global leader in Enterprise Data Management services has released a white paper that introduces and provides an overview of its comprehensive Data Management Capabilities Maturity Model.

Marc Odho, Managing Director, comments “Over the past couple of years, we have helped a number of financial firms understand the capabilities required to successfully implement their data management systems. LakeFrontData’s maturity model is designed to allow firms to quantify their capabilities and readiness to successfully implement, integrate and operate their data management systems with consuming business applications.”

The white paper provides analysis to explain how firms should proceed to optimize their capabilities to achieve data management maturity. The paper explains and uses examples to illustrate that there is no “one-size fits all” maturity level and that different capability levels are appropriate for different business requirements. Rob Ord, Director, comments “The real value in leveraging a maturity model such as ours’ is the way in which you tailor its application to suit the specific needs of your firm. Even though most data practitioners are likely to strive for the highest maturity level, it may not be warranted for certain data management capabilities, given your organization’s priorities and key requirements.”
