Stralem Takes Full Advantage of Integrated Performance Analytics Capabilities in Advent Portfolio Exchange®

Advent Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADVS), a leading provider of software and services for the global investment management industry, today announced that Stralem & Company, Inc. has selected Advent Portfolio Exchange® (APX), Advent’s award-winning, integrated portfolio and client relationship management solution, to take full advantage of APX’s performance analytics capabilities.

With $2.2 billion in assets under management, Stralem is an asset management firm focused on U.S. large cap equities. Previously, the firm used a third-party performance analytics program which required a significant amount of time and effort to import and format the data. Stralem needed a robust, integrated portfolio management platform to streamline the portfolio analysis process and turned to APX for its integrated performance analytics capabilities.

APX’s performance analytics reports enable portfolio managers to quantify exactly how their management decisions contributed to portfolio performance. Stralem relies primarily on two of the system’s analytics reports:

• Performance Attribution quantifies the impact of investment decisions and compares portfolio performance to a benchmark over any period.
• Performance Contribution shows how each segment contributed to a portfolio's overall performance, with the option of comparison to a benchmark.
