Lacking Transparency of Credit Risk Rating Systems, Survey shows

Germany - 8 December 2009

In last week´s online survey on bobsguide.com, only 17% of responding financial institutions stated that the logic of their credit rating systems is fully transparent. The majority of the participants are partly missing transparency of their risk rating decisioning.

Approximately one-quarter of the respondents are entirely missing the knowledge how rating results are concluded by their system (e.g. with a reasoning component). The poll reveals the fact that a complete understanding of the results of risk rating is still a matter of concern for many financial institutions.

The poll was led by Innovations.
