Raiffeisen Informatik, Austria, INCENTAGE AG, Switzerland, and SWIFT announced jointly at SIBOS 2008 that INCENTAGEâs SWIFT Bus (ISB) will be used in the future to support all of Raiffeisen Informatikâs message handling activities. Raiffeisen Informatik provides IT Services for 35 bank organisations with individual BIC codes (Bank Identifier Codes). INCENTAGEâs major solutions, including IMS INCENTAGE Middleware Suite and IPC INCENTAGE Process Cockpit, and SWIFTâs Alliance Access interface will operate as a bundle to fulfil the respective requirements.
Raiffeisen Informatik decided to purchase the INCENTAGE/SWIFT solutions as a result of an international tender in spring 2008. The unique flexibility of the INCENTAGE SWIFT Bus (ISB) has been a key decision factor. ISB combines the power of SWIFTâs Alliance Access interface with INCENTAGEâs asynchronous service bus architecture. This approach reduces project risk and project time and increases flexibility and maintainability necessary to cover future needs. ISB is the result of joint research activities and cooperation between INCENTAGE and SWIFT.
The project is well underway now, with first customers going live in March 2009. The project will be completed early in 2010. The intention is to keep the elapsed project time to a minimum.
ISB will handle all message handling processes between the customers and with the outside world (correspondent banking network, global custody network, institutional clients etc.). INCENTAGE and SWIFT are implementing the solution jointly. SWIFT provides their FIN and XML enabled Alliance Access and Alliance Gateway software. All current and future requirements and industry initiatives (e.g. Giovannini) set by industry bodies like SWIFT, ECB etc. are fully covered by ISB.
Hartmut Müller, CEO of Raiffeisen Informatik, is more than pleased with the new solution: âWe had a lot of respect at Raiffeisen Informatik when we decided to replace our legacy systems which have performed so well over so many years. But we are delighted to see now how well the progress of the project is going on. The short project period might be a critical point. The going live with the new solution at the first clients is planned one year later from the decision date.â Müller continues: âWe are positively surprised how user friendly the new solution is: new messages and new requirements from inside and outside the organisation can be added without being programmed by our staff.â
Christian Sarafidis, Head of Sales Services EMEA of SWIFT, adds: âOur joint solution with INCENTAGE is a logical result of our long lasting partnership. This success in a competitive environment shows the importance for Raiffeisen Informatik and its clients of reducing the total cost of ownership and preparing their new robust and flexible infrastructure for the future. We trust that this model will lead to other successes in the Austrian user community, with fast and easy adoption of standards and solutions.â
And Felix Huber, CEO of INCENTAGE, confirms: âINCENTAGE is very happy with the cooperation with Raiffeisen Informatik in this project. We have now opened an INCENTAGE office in Vienna in order to support Raiffeisen Informatik and our future regional clients in the best possible way. We also expect to expand our services to Central and Eastern Europe, to support Raiffeisen Informatikâs and RZBâs group activities.â
