Repliweb Showcases New Sharepoint Content Synchronization Product (ROSS) at 2008 TechEd EMEA

3 November 2008

TechEd EMEA’s IT Professionals week provides the perfect venue for RepliWeb, a leader in application infrastructure software, to provide a sneak peek of its new RepliWeb Operational Synchronization for SharePoint (ROSS) product.

ROSS was developed for organizations that are building mission critical web applications and outward facing web portals on MOSS 2007. ROSS enhances and extends native tools, enabling the multi-stage deployments and multi-farm replication of sites, content and document libraries, web parts and more for MOSS and WSS environments.

“Customer demand played a big role in RepliWeb’s move into the SharePoint arena,” commented Yossi Moriel, CEO RepliWeb Inc. “In early 2007 we started fielding inquires from our large enterprise customers to include SharePoint managed content into their content lifecycles and production workflows. Over 30% of the Forbes 100 trust RepliWeb solutions to manage the deployment of Web content, code and IIS, so who better to develop a similar solution for SharePoint?”

ROSS is currently in limited beta with a GA release anticipated later this year.

Also on display at TechEd EMEA is RepliWeb Managed File Transfer (RMFT), with its recently-released SharePoint Connector. RMFT is a cost-effective solution for securing and accelerating file transfers between SharePoint environments and Users or Hosts.

RMFT provides recoverable file uploads into SharePoint document libraries and enables transfer automation capabilities between SharePoint repositories and hosts (including mainframes). As SharePoint continues to establish itself as a prolific business platform, RMFT meets a growing need to automate the movement of files into and out of SharePoint sites.
