Financial Simplicity Releases Portfolio Express Model Portfolio Tool

18 November 2008

Portfolio modelling and portfolio manufacturing experts Financial Simplicity have released a new version of Portfolio Express, their simple Internet application to help investment advisers with the modelling of client investment portfolios to model portfolios and asset allocation profiles.

The latest release of Portfolio Express builds upon over 10 years of research and development into portfolio modelling theory and software design. It allows investment advisers to rapidly model client tailored portfolios to model portfolios or asset allocations and then produce supporting documentation for a client in the form of a Statement of Advice or portfolio review report.

Portfolio Express also supports the latest trend of collaboration over the Internet by allowing dealer groups and advisers to share model portfolios and investment research across users in many different locations, even different firms or practices.

Unlike most other software, Portfolio Express’ modelling can also take into account the specific rules, preferences and constraints of the investor client, producing a tailored result for each client, not ‘one size fits all’. Portfolio Express is also either installed ‘in-house’ or delivered ‘on demand’ over the Internet, and has an ‘open architecture’ integration protocol so platforms and systems can interface with it easily.

Portfolio Express is already in use by over 250 advisers and helps them substantially reduce the time, effort and hence costs associated with portfolio reviews, allowing them to spend more time with clients.

By helping systemise the portfolio modelling process, Portfolio Express also helps licensees with investment compliance, thereby helping to reduce loads on business resources so they can spend more time with clients, particularly in these difficult times.

Stuart Holdsworth, Managing Director of Financial Simplicity says ‘We are seeing a growing trend in advisers moving away from product distribution mentality and seeking to more actively and transparently manage their client portfolios. We are responding to their needs with practical tools to help them achieve this.’

Portfolio Express, which can be trialled by advisers for free, can also be licensed in a wholesale and re-brandable form by platforms who are seeking to add portfolio modelling to their platform offering.
