David Eisner, CEO and President of TheMarkets.com, said, âWeâve deepened our estimates bench in our goal to become as well known for the quality and comprehensiveness of our estimates data as we are for that of our research. As we continue building relationships with brokers directly, weâre also working to enhance and deepen our estimates offering, an initiative weâre extremely pleased to have Rob lead.â
Krugman brings more than 15 years of experience in technical and product development strategy in the finance industry, most recently in positions that leveraged his expertise in XBRL tagging technologies. Prior to joining TheMarkets.com, Krugman was the Senior Vice President of Product Development at Edgar Online, where he spearheaded the development and launch of the award-winning suite of XBRL-based I-Metrix products. Previously, he was a consultant with Avenue A | Razorfish. Krugman is also a frequent speaker at industry events on the use of XBRL to automate financial data delivery.
âThe estimates space has seen very little innovation for decades,â said Scott Rosen, Entrepreneur-in-Residence at TheMarkets.com and former head of the FirstCall business at Thomson Financial (now Thomson Reuters). âWe look forward to benefiting from Robâs XBRL expertise as we develop world-class products that deliver financial data with maximum efficiency, accuracy, and creativity.â
Eisner said, âWe now have on board the worldâs leading experts on estimates and analytical products. We are pleased to welcome Rob to our team and to leverage his knowledge and skills to spearhead this business initiative.â
