Building the new business units is an important next step for Trayport, and we have gone to great lengths to seek the right people for these positions.â says Elliott Piggott, Deputy Managing Director at Trayport. âJamesâ addition to the Trader Systems Business Unit is a very good fit, bringing a background that includes technology, market knowledge and a strong customer focus, I look forward to working closely with him.â
âThe Trader Systems Business Unit at Trayport has the potential for huge growth over the coming years; it is very well positioned, and respected by it clients. With the continued growth of commodity trading, we expect to see substantial growth in the current client base, and with the continued deregulation and integration of the Energy markets across Europe we except to see more firms looking to use Trading Gateway,â said Davies. âIn particular we expect strong growth in emissions trading and an increase in the number of hedge funds and will aim to grow the business in these areas this year.â
