The previous year was especially successful for the Forbis Company in the Lithuanian eastern neighbour-countries markets. On observing the Russian market of banking information systems, IBS Publishing has noticed that two of the five deals of this market belong to the Lithuanian Forbis company. In the year 2007 four more customers appeared in the list of the banks customers of the Forbis Company, there were concluded more than 60 large agreements (for more than 20 licences and more than 40 development projects). Much attention is paid to satisfying the needs of the present customers: there were performed many tasks on implementation, development, and upgrade of the system. Two versions of BIS FORPOST were released; transition to ORACLE 10g was performed. New products were created and implemented, such as FORPOST*Cards On-line, FORPOST*Information Control System, FORPOST*Remote Messaging Service, FORPOST*Data Warehouse (FDWH) release 2.0, FORPOST*Branch Automation release 3.0.
The project, related to new rules of the business accounting in the Russian Federation, was successfully implemented; BIS FORPOST was adapted to the Belarusian market.
According to the resolution of the committee of institutions supervising European banks, from the 1st of January, 2008 the FINREP (Finance Reporting) package of unified finance reporting forms are mandatory for all the EU-member countries. The specialists of the Forbis Company have created the FINREP package, which enables Lithuanian commercial banks to provide the reports to the Bank of Lithuania, and which meets the requirements of the European Central Bank. An interface between the FORPOST banking information system and TARGET2 system of EU settlements in Euro was developed.
The Forbis Company has expanded and become stronger, gained a valuable experience, and formed a team of talented and promising employees. The company has big ideas and is still ambitious enough to strive for the most modern technologies to be applied, while adapting the FORPOST banking information system to the entire range of services provided by banks.
