African Harvest Asset Management Renews Contract with SunGard’s Asset Arena

SunGard today announced that Cadiz African Harvest Asset Management (Pty) Limited (CAHAM), a wholly owned subsidiary of Cadiz Holdings Limited (Cadiz), has renewed its contract for SunGard’s Asset Arena Portfolio Management, Trading and Compliance solution. CAHAM was formed following the recent acquisition of African Harvest Fund Managers (Pty) Limited by Cadiz. The combined business boasts a broad spectrum of innovative investments with some R50 billion in funds under management. SunGard’s Asset Arena will continue to provide integrated portfolio management and enhanced compliance capabilities across CAHAM’s combined and diversified asset management business.

CAHAM will continue to use Asset Arena on an outsourced basis, with application hosting and maintenance managed by SunGard. “While providing the benefits associated with outsourcing non-core business functions, SunGard’s Asset Arena has proven to be a robust, flexible and scalable solution that helps support the growth of our combined business. This, combined with strong local services and support, has been key to the continuing success of our SunGard relationship,” commented Phil Sturgess, chief operating officer at CAHAM.
