Screen INFOmatch develops GUI to Reuters’ central permissioning system eSpresso

Amsterdam - 26 November 2007

Screen INFOmatch, independent experts in market data and providers of market data management solutions, has developed an interface between its INFOmatch market data management application and Reuters’ eSpresso permissioning system.

eSpresso is Reuters’ central permissioning system which controls the data authorisation of web-based Reuters products, such as Reuters Wealth Manager (RWM) and Reuters Trader. It also handles the access rights of the Reuters Messaging system.

Reuters customers can access the entitlements data via the Customers Zone on Reuters’ web site. The INFOmatch eSpresso interface imports the permissioning profiles per user, as well as the usage statistics. This data is then automatically processed and linked to the existing market data user community stored in INFOmatch.

“Many financial institutions use Reuters web-based products, such as Reuters Wealth Manager. The INFOmatch eSpresso interface gives them a new tool to easily manage the data authorisations in this user community, thereby avoiding manual updates”, says John Lathouwers, director at Screen INFOmatch. By having the usage statistics available as well, the user firm is not only in complete control of the data accesses and the associated costs, but it can also track if the fee-liable data accesses have been used or not. This puts the firm in an excellent position to continuously fine-tune their market data inventory.

The eSpresso interface dramatically reduces the workload of the market data manager. It is a logical extension of the range of tools around INFOmatch that automate data processing and synchronisation with existing databases. INFOmatch already interfaces with Reuters’ DACS and First, Bloomberg (Firm-wide) SID, Telekurs iD, TIB Entitlements and Infotec’s SMART.
