Inaugurated in 2005 as part of FIAÂ´s 50th anniversary, the âFutures Hall of Fameâ honours outstanding industry leaders.
As John M. Damgard, President of the FIA emphasized, honourees were instrumental in leading the path for their firmsâ success and thus made a significant contribution to the futures and options industry.
The reception ceremony itself took place yesterday during the 32nd edition of the yearly FIA event hosted in Boca Raton.
In 1988 Prof. Dr. Franke was appointed CEO of the newly founded German Derivative Exchange (DTB), playing a decisive role in merging the DTB with the Swiss derivatives market Soffex, to form the worldâs biggest regulated derivatives market, Eurex. Joerg Franke, appointed as honorary professor at the University of Karlsruhe, Germany in 2005, currently serves as Chairman of the Supervisory Board at RTS Realtime Systems AG.
