Combined technologies provide effective storage, data backup and recovery

ONStor, the leading provider of scalable clustered NAS solutions for the enterprise, today announced the launch of a strategic alliance with Thinking SAFE, the UK’s leading backup innovator. Through complementary technology, this powerful combined solution enables effective storage, protection and disaster recovery for data within the customer’s IT infrastructure.

The strategic partnership, initiated through ONStor’s reseller Accentuate serves to highlight ONStor’s capability in the back-up market place underlining the importance of a reliable disaster recovery service.

ONStor’s NAS solution is working behind Thinking SAFE’s storage management technology to seamlessly scale storage for retrieved data, with the combined solution offering a powerful and complete storage and disaster recovery solution.

Gerald Sommariva, Managing Director, ONStor UK comments: “ONStor’s scalable clustered NAS solution is highly complementary to Thinking SAFE’s storage management technology. The combined offering provides organisations with an unprecedented combination of storage and protection. We hope this partnership with Thinking SAFE will enable us to provide the highest quality of data security our customers deserve.”

Ed Jones, Managing Director, Thinking Safe Ltd added: “As a business we wanted to partner with a storage company that is focussed on delivering new, high value, data centre focussed storage capabilities. Our customers require highly available, scalable and cost effective ways of managing, securing and providing disaster recovery for their data. The combination of ONStor and Thinking SAFE technologies ensures that we have the perfect platform to support their evolving business requirements.”

ONStor's award-winning Pantera Clustered NAS Systems and Bobcat NAS Gateways consolidate information from multiple Windows, UNIX and Linux devices into a single, highly scalable and effective file storage environment to a range of customers in both private and public sector organisations.

Thinking SAFE’s innovative storage management software platform for the service provider and mid-tier corporate market places is currently used by companies such as National Express Coaches, Tenon Group and GB Airways to improve the robustness of the backup environment, centralise the management of the backup and recovery processes, and dramatically improve disaster recovery capability.
