TORONTO and BOSTON – 13 February 2007

Avotus Corporation, the leading provider of Telecom Expense Management (TEM) and eProcurement solutions, today announced that it closed 13 major contracts in the fourth quarter of 2007 for Avotus Intelligent Communications Managementâ„¢ (ICM), a comprehensive communications lifecycle management solution that enables companies in all industries to manage, gain visibility into, and significantly reduce their voice and data spend.

Avotus Intelligent Communications Management enables organizations to automate and streamline sourcing and procurement processes, communications inventory management, invoice reconciliation and processing, purchasing, and usage management. Using the data set contained within Avotus ICM, users, managers and executives have easy-to-use visibility into spending trends, policy adherence, organizational voice and data costs, and usage patterns.

The TEM contracts include orders for all components of the Intelligent Communications Management solution including ICM eProcurementâ„¢, ICM Expense Managementâ„¢ and ICM Usage Managementâ„¢. These enterprise contracts are in addition to strong sales to mid-market organizations and include companies in the financial services, pharmaceutical, retail, high technology sectors as well as state and local government. A number of competitive replacements were also achieved.

Several of these enterprises will utilize ICM eProcurement, a web-based, automated RFP tool and real time, interactive reverse auction platform that has been specifically designed for the complexities of communications. ICM eProcurement enables customers to obtain lower costs, better terms and service level agreements than they can with any other method of sourcing. As part of a complete TEM solution, it enables customers to ensure they the new rates they have negotiated are actually implemented.

According to Joe Basili, research director with Aberdeen Group, “Reverse auctions are starting to deliver for telecom. Our survey benchmark found average savings of 33% with some respondents reporting reductions greater than 50% for procurement sourcing. With telecom, enterprises need domain knowledge and customized applications to allow for complexity. In addition, lifecycle management is key because enterprises must have technology and processes to validate that the new rates are implemented and reflected in the billing.”

With organizations recognizing the need to manage their growing mobile and wireless communications spend and assets, a number of the new enterprise have chosen Avotus specifically for wireless management. The enterprises will be using Avotus solutions for sourcing new wireless agreements as well as for ongoing expense and usage management.

”As companies recognize the need to utilize automated solutions based on best practices to control their communications expenses we’re pleased that they have chosen Avotus ICM as their TEM product of choice” commented to Fred Lizza, president and CEO of Avotus. “We also noted an increase in competitive replacements, as first generation TEM users discover the limitations of their current providers and the additional value of automating their ordering processes and managing their telecom assets through Avotus.”
