RMA Selects Data Explorers as Compilers of the Securities Lending Quarterly Aggregate Composite Survey

Philadelphia, PA - 12 April 2007

The Risk Management Association (RMA) today announced that it has selected Data Explorers Limited to compile the RMA Securities Lending Quarterly Aggregate Composite Survey. Under its agreement with RMA, Data Explorers will collect securities lending data from RMA members that participate in its Performance Explorer service. Data Explorers also will facilitate the collection of data from RMA for those members who are not Performance Explorer participants. This agreement will streamline and expedite the data submission process and provide the industry with the Composite Survey in a shortened timeframe, responding to an increased requirement for up-to-date information.

RMA Director of Securities Lending Curtis Knight called the agreement “a significant landmark” for RMA and the securities lending industry. “Data Explorers’ considerable expertise and its ability to consolidate and provide timely information will be a great asset to the Quarterly Composite Survey,” said Knight. “It is also a great benefit to anyone interested in understanding securities lending and reinvestment.”

The RMA Securities Lending Quarterly Aggregate Composite Survey data is collected for primary lending markets worldwide, with cash-collateral reinvestment data aggregated to reflect reinvestment return, interest-rate sensitivity, liquidity, credit tiering, and instrument types for both U.S.
dollar and Euro currency collateral. Lending activity also is provided for all other currency collateral converted to U.S. dollar.

Mark Faulkner, CEO, Data Explorers Limited, said, “We are delighted that RMA has chosen and entrusted us to undertake the data management and publication of the Quarterly Aggregate Composite Survey. We welcome the opportunity to work more closely with RMA and jointly utilize our market experience and aspiration to improve and increase visibility in Securities Lending, and ensure a timely, consistent, and independent survey.”

Tim Smith, president, Data Explorers Inc., added, “The partnership between RMA and Data Explorers is the result of legacy discussions over time and confirms both parties’ desire to respond to the market's interest and requirement for accurate information delivered in a timely and efficient manner.”
