Pictet deploys Ullink’s connectivity and order routing platform, the ULBridge

Paris - 5 September 2006

Ullink, the Global Transactional Connectivity Provider working with the financial community, announced today that it has been selected by Pictet to answer its connectivity needs.

Pictet, Switzerland’s largest private bank and one of the premier asset management specialists in Europe, has chosen the ULBridge, Ullink’s connectivity and order routing platform.

“We chose Ullink as they can provide us with the complete solution we need for a service oriented architecture that significantly improves our ability to deliver. The ULBridge is more than a FIX engine. It offers smart order routing and monitoring functions in addition to connecting all applications and execution venues in any FIX protocol or native API. This comprehensive platform enables us to easily manage our connectivity through a single point. One of the selection criteria was the ULBridge’s modularity. Connections (plugins) can be added, modified or removed without changing the underlying infrastructure, enabling easy adaptation to our evolving business needs. Furthermore, the extensive library of already developed plugins offers an intuitive plug and play feature, answering our need for fast adaptation,” says Fabien Sawaf, Deputy Head Negoce IT of Pictet.

Laurent Useldinger CEO of Ullink: “We developed a solution that offers many features and we are pleased to see that Pictet uses most of the platform’s functionality. Although connectivity and order routing are the core concepts of the ULBridge, it is also embedded with risk filtering and monitoring, to bring additional value to our customers.”
