RUTHERFORD, N.J., January 17, 2006 â AXS-One Inc. (AMEX: AXO), a leading provider of high-performance records compliance management software solutions, built on its recent momentum in the global marketplace today by announcing a major customer win with a South African parastatal (government-owned) agency. Under the terms of the agreement, AXS-One will implement a complete records compliance management (RCM) solution, including e-mail archiving, SAP archiving, desktop archiving, archiving from key operational systems (report archiving) and records management. Further validating AXS-Oneâs channel strategy, the deal, signed during December 2005, was reached through a channel partner in the region.
"Weâre pleased to record our first major win with a South African government agency, and to do it with a channel partner," said Bill Lyons, CEO of AXS-One. "This further confirms our belief that optimum performance, regulatory compliance and corporate governance are pivotal concerns for organizations around the world, not just in the U.S."
The agencyâs drivers for this major implementation are similarly broad-based. Like other organizations in this regulated environment, the agency has made it a priority to improve governance processes and procedures. Working with AXS-One, it will not only implement new technology but also develop policies and implementing technology that are designed to archive and manage electronic records that are designated as key operational systems. At the same time, the agency also wants the new compliance platform and related procedures to significantly enhance process efficiencies.
Those are familiar challenges to AXS-One, which is helping companies in an increasing number of global projects. Following closely on the heels of four international customer winsâa major international wine producer, a leading Australian utility, an international supermarket chain in Hong Kong and one of the largest banks in Central Europeâthe new contract reflects AXS-Oneâs growing global footprint in the critical market for records compliance management technology. In all of these projects, which collectively span four continents, the AXS-One Compliance Platform is being used as a comprehensive solution for a broad range of technology and business needs.
"South Africa has a growing economy and a robust business environment,. and w and weâre proud to establish our presence here with this engagement," said Al Clegg, AXS-Oneâs Managing Director for South African operations. "We believe weâve developed exactly the right combination to offer customersâthe best-performing technology on the market, a deep reservoir of experience and expertise, excellent channel partnershipsâand we look forward to serving this market for many years to come."
