New Appointment Release - Avanquest Appoints Graham Robinson to Corporate Solutions Team

Avanquest UK, provider of Business Process Management Solutions to the enterprise has recently appointed Graham Robinson to join the Corporate Sales Team, based at the company’s Winchester office, to lead the sales of their OnBase electronic document management solution.

Graham has previously worked with market leaders Capgemini, one of the UK’s leading consultancy and systems integration businesses and Documentum Software Europe Ltd, so brings a wealth of experience to Avanquest’s business solutions portfolio. He also gained valuable knowledge in all aspects of electronic document management through his previous engagements with Xerox Professional Services, Cimage Enterprise Systems and Wang.

During his time at Capgemini, Graham discovered that in industry and government, only around 60% of IT projects are fully successful, but that following the principles of benefits management, competent project management and correct technology selection, the success rate of IT implementations rises to over 90%. Therefore for an effective return on investments in information technology, additional investments are also required in change management and better technology selection methods. This is frequently overlooked and not budgeted.

Graham comments "I was also a member of the Capgemini Compliance Team. This team addressed all the main compliance issues, including Sarbanes Oxley, AML, Freedom of Information, Basel ll, TNA compliance, CoBIT etc. Within the team we developed special Transformation Maps and Benefits Realisation techniques. This was to help a client to move from a position where they are currently not satisfactorily compliant with their appropriate regulations to a position where they can not only gain compliance but also competitive advantage in their market place, through better internal controls and processes." He goes onto say "At Avanquest I will be able to use my extensive experience to enable customers make increasingly more strategic investments in document management solutions."

At Documentum Software Europe Ltd, where Graham was Account Manager for the Public Sector, he focused on building relationships with organisations like EDS, Fujitsu, CSC, LogicaCMG, IBM and Accenture, along with the creation of business relationships with related technology vendors BEA, ATG, Plumtree, SUN and HP.

Notable personal successes at Documentum amount to competitive wins to the value of $5m over a 3 year period and include -

Foreign and Commonwealth Office: In conjunction with Fujitsu to support the FCO enterprise knowledge programme.

Inland Revenue: To support the web content management requirements as part of the e-business programme helping the General Public and Commerce to interact with the IR for tax submissions.

UK Security Services: A four-way intensive competitive evaluation against Hummingbird, Opentext and Meridio, being hosted on the client’s behalf by Fujitsu Services

Other notable clients over his career include Avon Cosmetics, British Railways Board, NASUWT, NHS, United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) and British Energy (formerly Nuclear Electric).

Graham graduated from Salford University with a BSc. Honours in Electrical Engineering Science. He has three children and lives in Berkshire.
