Skinkers, a leader in push technology, today announced it has been included in the list of âCool Vendors in CRM Marketing and Analytics 2006â report released March, 2006 by Ed Thompson, et al of Gartner, Inc.
The study covers companies focused on maximizing customer interactions, and providing clients with better understanding and in-depth predictions of customer behavior. All the companies featured in the report offer new and innovative approaches to business, but by 2008, Gartner expects some of them to exit the market while others grow exponentially.
Skinkersâ technology pushes messages and notifications at scheduled times so that they appear in front of all other content on users desktops. The messages are presented to the recipient through branded windows and ticker-tapes that can contain text, images, surveys, video or other forms of media. The solution ensures messages cannot be missed, creating visibility through increasingly cluttered communications channels such as web sites, intranets, email, SMS and IM.
âWe are delighted to be included in Gartnerâs âCool Vendorâ listing,â said Matteo Berlucchi, CEO of Skinkers. âWe feel our inclusion confirms our success and shows that our innovative approach to push technology is being recognized by the industry. We believe direct and visible communication with customers, employees and partners is at the heart of CRM, and that our solution provides that for customers.â
Skinkersâ solutions are used by businesses and organizations in four main areas: Marketing Promotions, e-CRM, News/RSS and Enterprise Communications. The companyâs customers include Virgin Atlantic, Halifax, Nectar, Carphone Warehouse, BSkyB, BBC, Cisco Systems, London Stock Exchange, the FT, and CNN.
The Gartner announcement comes just a month after Skinkers announced a £2 million investment from venture capital investor, NewMediaSPARK. This new capital represents the first institutional funding for Skinkers since its inception in 2002, and the company is using the new funds to promote its existing services, including the recently launched branded RSS readers, finalise the development of its mobile offering and increasing its international sales capabilities.
