Fairfax, VA, October 25, 2005 - Headstrong, a global consultancy, announced today that Sun Microsystems has selected Headstrong to deliver technical services to participants in the Sun[sm] Partner Advantage Program for Independent Software Vendors (ISVs). The Sun Partner Advantage Program for
ISVs allows ISVs to take advantage of over 20 new education, technology, marketing and sales engagement offerings for their business-specific needs to help them build, market and sell applications for the industry-leading Solaris10 Operating System and other Sun platforms. Of the new services, Sun's ISV Technical Services offering, will consist of a wide spectrum of engineering and consulting services for porting, tuning and optimizing Sun technology-based applications-at special rates for Program participants.
The company chose Headstrong because of its strong engineering-pedigree and long-term association with Sun's Market Development Engineering team. "Headstrong was the logical choice for our ISV Technical Services offering. Theyâve worked closely with us- for over five years and have acquired a strong grasp of Sun's technology services and platform," said Stephen Borcich, Vice President, Partner Marketing, Sun Microsystems.
As part of the agreement, Headstrong and Sun will embark on a joint outreach program to educate the Sun Partner Advantage Program for ISV participants about the potential benefits of accessing ISV Technical Services delivered by Headstrong.
Headstrong's demonstrated ability to translate business requirements and Sun-based technologies to transform and enhance an application will allow ISVs to maximize the value of their investment.
